Calculator inputs

The calculator runs in your browser. The application does not send your entered prices, car names or other calculator values to a server or store them in a database. There is no account, payment collection or financial profile. Refreshing clears edits unless you have shared or opened a comparison link.

Sharing a comparison

When you choose “Share comparison”, your inputs are encoded in the part of the URL after the # symbol. That fragment is not sent with the normal HTTP page request. Anyone who has the full link can read the values and car names, so avoid personal or sensitive information. The link may remain in browser history, synced history, your clipboard and any service where you paste it. You can reset the calculator to remove the fragment from the current address; this does not erase previously shared copies.

Cookies and local storage

This application does not set cookies or use local storage. It does not include analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or third-party fonts. A hosting platform or an access-control page may process technical data or use its own essential cookies outside the application’s code.

Hosting and technical data

The site is published through Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. The hosting providers necessarily receive connection information such as your IP address, request path and browser information when serving this site. It may keep technical or security logs under its own terms. Calculator inputs in a URL fragment are not included in normal request paths. Do not include private information in car names or links.

Advertising

There are no active advertising scripts in this version. Before advertising is enabled, this notice must be updated to identify the provider, its data use and applicable choices. Any required consent mechanism must be in place before optional advertising technologies load. Reserved advertising locations are hidden and do not show fake ads.

Contact and requests

For a privacy question, contact hello@pocketrand.co.za. If you email us, your email provider and Apple iCloud Mail, our email provider, process your message. Send only what is necessary to explain your request.

This notice describes the application as currently implemented. It must be reviewed when hosting, advertising or data-handling practices change.
